Manganese Ore

African continent is having one of the major deposits of manganese ores of high grades which is the primary raw material for production of High Carbon Ferro Manganese and Silico Manganese. Due to its abundance availability within the surrounding region such as Mansa, Kabwe, Lubwaye (Within 400 kms) from the plant location it is one of the most favorable factor for us.

Coal

The main role of the carbonaceous reducing materials in the production of ferroalloys is to reduce the oxide compounds. Africa is known for its vast mineral resources and requirements of Coal & Coke can be fulfilled from the countries of African continent itself.

Electricity

Electricity is one of the major input for production of High Carbon Ferromanganese. With relation to it, the Zambian Authorities has given permission to set up a substation near to Furnace Premises for uninterrupted supply of power. In addition to it, the Authorities has also assured of providing subsidy on the cost of construction of sub-station. Further compared to under developed countries, the rate of electricity unit is also reasonable.

Carbon Paste

Other than the above raw materials, there is requirement of materials such as Carbon Paste and consumables such as Dolomite, Quartz etc which can be procured from the sources at India / China and sent to Zambia. Carbon-paste is made from a mixture of conducting graphite powder and a pasting liquid. Carbon paste electrodes belong to a special group of heterogeneous Carbon paste electrodes.
